He is in first place today even though it is early stages of the race he looked strong against Cavendish.

My neighbor is out of the tour de France with broken vertebrae.

Was that the enormous crash that took out about 20 racers? That looked awful.

Yes, Fabian Cancelara was the guy in yellow jersey (the race leader at that point in the stage race) who went head-over-heels (or OTB) just missing the big sign post. His bike went through another somersault right after he left it in a little arroyo. He was not looking good.

So far two people wearing the yellow jersey have had to withdraw from the race. :(
