I actually just used a thin phillips head screwdriver. One small enough to fit through the bolt hole. Worked great, stayed straight.

Cool.. I tried that too, but the screwdriver I had was just a lil too big at the handle to set the star nut below the top of the steerer tube

Ok... I just ordered this headset. I know that there are cheaper ones but I like the way it looks and the reviews are all excellent. The new Suntour fork should arrive this week too. So I have a project. Yay!

That's the exact headset I installed on my deception, it has worked flawlessly.
