This looks like it might fit the Tyax peculiarities well...as its main strut to the axle is angled coming from the backside.

Blackburn racks are Made in USA.

The EX-1 Blackburn has a separate reflector mount. It's just a bent aluminum strip with some drilled holes and it's included with the rest of the attachment parts. It's not particularly secure, but it gets the job done.

The lack of a plate fender may actually come in handy in some circumstances because of the access to more support bars, depending on what you're trying to mount/carry. I don't remember why but, for some reason, it was the only rack I could find that would work with the trunk I was using at the time.

Unfortunately, Blackburn products haven't been made in the USA for sometime, likely after Easton-Bell Sports bought them out in 1992. I've got one of the old version racks (SX-1) that I bought over ten years ago. I doubt it was made in the USA. While the tubing is thinner, it may be of higher quality than the current Made in China version. The 'Blackburn' stamp in one of the top cross bars is different (deeper).

OTOH, I vaguely recall there being a heavier-duty EX-1 version back then, too, so I'm guessing my old 'light-duty' SX-1 (I think that was the model) was simply discontinued and the only version Blackburn (Bell) makes now are variations of the heavy-duty EX-1 (like the ones for disc brakes or heavier panniers).

Also, EV you could put some spacers between the rack and frame (and use longer bolts) to give extra clearance to the flange on the Tyax's dropouts. May work fine for you.

Those ebay specials look a lot like the Axiom Journey (one of the two styles of Axiom Journey).

Here you can look at the Axiom Journey on Amazon...which gets very good reviews for strength and load capacity. The multiple triangles are structurally advantageous for strength and load capacity. Check it out...the only thing different is the mounting rods.
