I recently bought this bike and the first thing anyone who buys one should do is dissemble the lower crank-set housing and clean, inspect, and re-lubricate the bearings!! This is very simple to do with a large crescent wrench! Seriously you MUST do this. When these bikes are assembled the lower crank housing is not cleaned of the aluminum shavings and it caused them to wear and destroy the two bearing on the inside- I replaced them, cleaned the housing and now it is fine and I enjoy the bike- but seriously BEWARE of this problem- the bike hadn't even been ridden 3 miles when I started to notice a VERY SLIGHT difference in the free spinning of the pedals and I decided to take a look- if I hadn't- well the entire crank housing could have been worn down and destroyed making the bike unsaleable. Please PLEASE please inspect, clean, and re-grease the crank housing for metallic shavings of be prepared to buy another bike!
