There are some great bike rides and trout fishing around Norris Dam and the Clinch River.

Now your talking Rider. That is just about 10 minutes away from my home. I just rode the watershed yesterday. Do you live close by? Maybe we could get a ride together.

I've never used hydraulic brakes but if you look at the pad on your stock calipers you will probably find that they are between dime to nickel sized. I upgraded my own calipers to avid bb7's and noticed a huge difference even before upsizing rotors. I had read somewhere about a good rotor combination for a "Clydesdale" being 180mm front and 160mm rear. I just went 180mm front and rear but haven't ridden them yet.

Thanks for the info. I have just got back in to biking after laying out for almost 20 years. I was really big in bikes while stationed in Germany for four years. They take biking seriously right down to having bike roads throughout the country. I forgot how fun it was. Again, thanks for the info. I will study it for a little while, but F180/R180 looks like the way I am going to go.

Oh yeah don't count hydraulic brake out if you are planning on replacing calipers. Depending on the system there is not much of a price difference.

My wife and I took another ride around Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain's National Park yesterday. I have a picture, because if you do not have a picture, it did not happen.

I have this bike and ride it daily. Love it. Only issue I have had is the bottom bracket. Plan on upgrading to a sealed unit in the near future.
