Wicked's new build. Felt Virtue Nine 1.

Postby wicked » Tue Apr 14, 2015 3:53 pm

Just scored another sweet frame at a price to good to pass up.
This will add a forth mountain bike to my fleet so its safe to say I'm turning into an addict :) This build up will move along slow as funds become available.
I already have a Fox float 34 with 140mm travel and a set of wheels on the way. I'm sure the color will change some just not sure to what as of yet. This is the full
carbon version so I will be aiming to build this up on the lite side. My wife already called dib's on it so it will likely be a build up to her liking :( ( NOT) lol.
Here it is in all its glory with a mock up seatpost.

Thanks guys :)
Frame is a 2014 Felt Virtue nine 1, size M. I already have the build in my mind, just need to transfer it over lol.
So far I have broken bike apart to clean it up. It has quite a few scratches and rock chips, as it stands, I'm thinking of
just spraying the whole frame a satin matte black with matte red here and there. Frame looks a little busy for my liking anyway. Will see ?
With the Fox 34 mocked up, cant wait lol.

Thanks rp :)
Got the rollers today compliments of merlincycles uk. $298.00 with free shipping. Crank brothers Iodine 2.
I also received my new saddle, Prologo Kappa evo red/black, e-bay $39.00.
Using a spare set of Nobby Nic's 29x2.35 F/R. These were on my Carbon XC until I went with the Racing Ralphs for better rolling efficiency.
These should serve this bike a lot better. Waiting on carbon stem bars and seatpost. These were ordered from over seas so it will be a while
until delivered. For now, a waiting game for low priced components. Will post updates soon :D

G.h haaaaaaahhhhhhh! I want those wheels! I was looking for something like the colbalts for forever! Might look for some in 26 for the aluminum comp.

Boy, I don't know if BBB is worthy of this build now. Felt frame, Fox fork, nice wheels, enough carbon fiber to build an F1 monocoque chassis...lol...very nice!
