X0? You lost me.

SRAM shifters/derailleurs: X4 X5 X7 X9 X0 X1 XX
there's also sx4 and 3.0/5.0 comp, but we don't need to worry about those.
I have some X0 9 speed grip shifters. I can take off my X9 trigger shifter and install my grip shifter, and everything will still work fine. I can take my X7 off my blackcomb (setup as 8 speed) and move it to my 9 and 10 speed bikes, and it will still work. Confusing... Maybe.
But yes, you can do 2x10. The raceface crankset shouldn't give you any problems, and most of your work will be on the rear mech.

Thanks, Falcon. What length 10 speed chain do you use? FYI, I'm looking to go 2x10 to take advantage of the bashing on the crankset for tight woods and rocks Trails.

I use SRAM pc-1051 and pc-1071 chains. They come in 114 and 116 link chains.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and need some help. I just got my XR-PRO and a rear shock DNM AOY36RC. Somewhere I read that this was a direct fit but it does not seem to match when I put it up beside the 'Spring'. FYI can not get the search feature to work. Anyway, the bottom measure the same, but the top stock spring has not bushings but the long 'plastic' ones. The DNM has the same bushings top & bottom. I hate to destroy the stock DNM bushings. Does anyone have a line on shorter bushings for the correct fit. Please excuse my ignorance, I am new to this. Thanks in advance for any helpful replies!

I had the same problem on my Blackcomb and went to the hardware store and bought Teflon washers that come in many diameters and widths ,Space them on top of the metal pin in between the top shock mount. There should be a size washer that is almost a perfect fit for the mount.

There are old posts in here about replacing the bottom bracket when the crank makes popping noises and the chain slips some under heavy loads, but the links are no good anymore.
Has anyone done a write-up on replacing the bottom bracket (BB) on these, like what fits and what tools are needed and spacings that are needed when reassembling?

Yes, there is a good writeup on a related Xr-pro thread. The best/cheapest replacement is the Raceface crankset from Jenson USA for approx $60.....external sealed bearing set, sprockets and lightweight cranks. Can't go wrong at that price. You'll need a bottom bracket puller and external bearing socket tools. Torque wrench would be recommended. Or you can bring the bike and parts to the LBS and they can do the job in less than an hour.... Almost the same as buying the tools. There are good videos on the you tube showing how to do it, too.

Tight but wobbly swing arm: the swing arm on my new Xr-pro doesn't seem to move smoothly. I've replaced the brass bushings with sealed flanged bearings and lubed up the pivot points. The factory shock was replaced with a 165mm DMN air shock. Still seems very stiff, yet some noticeable side to side wobble. I'm suspecting the bottom swing arm pivot. Anyone serviced or repaired the bottom swing arm pivot? Any suggestions?
