teocali build

Postby BostonRegs » Sat Feb 23, 2013 1:54 am

Just got a used 2011 teocali frame to build as my AM bike! stay tuned for updates. This will be a slow build since I still need to finish my Diamondback build. curious for specs on this frame.. obviously a tapered head tube, still cant find specs on bb size. Need advise for 7.5 air shock and 160mm fork with remote travel adjust.

Thats hilarious!!! I was in contact with that seller on that exact same frame! Are you planning to get it repainted or powdercoated? I passed on it due to the major paint wear, and the wear is in some odd spots, so I suspected frame damage (frame had already been damaged and repaired once before)... Hope not. The Teocali is a awesome bike!

On the shock, I'm selling a new and unmounted Rockshox Ario for $100...

As for the fork, I'd go with a Marzocchi 44, or a Rockshox Revelation, or possibly a Suntour Epicon. Just remember that you dont have to buy a fork with a tapered steer tube, as you can always buy a headset to convert the tapered to a standard 1 1/8".

Yup! this is the frame with the repair. It's a large so i'm assuming somewhere around the 19-20 inch range. I'll do some more thorough inspecting and measuring when the frame arrives sometime next week. Thanks for the suggestions as usual Irish. I'll keep an eye out for a marz 44, Is that ario 7.5 eye to eye?

Yes, my Ario is a 7.5" x 2" stroke. New and never mounted, $100 (I've got it listed on Pinkbike.com for $120, but I'm knocking the $20 off for anyone here).

Any updates on this build..???
