I ran into the same thing with the Clarks. But, my Clarks are a cheaper version of magura brakes. Find magura stuff all day. Picked up some trucker pads. Need to treat them on the Blackcomb.

Well, did you scuff the rotors up, first. May take some time to get then to wear in. But yes, new pads will be your most noticeable change.
