picked up these wheels at a yard sale for $3...... the front one was a single wall rim and was missing a spoke... the rear wasnt worth using as the rim had too much bend in it to get out by truing it.....so I used the guts from those wheels to make the wheels from the V2100 quick release instead of bolt on.....now the wheels fit the frame better.... traded the 7 speed cassette for a rear QR and a few small bits with my LBS......not gonna be able to ride for at least a few weeks because I had an infected ingrown toenail ,they removed the nail and I am having to wear sandals for awhile...... also gonna need to switch out the tires because the sidewalls on the trak-tron tires are getting some big cracks.....good thing I have 2 extra sets of tires stashed.....gonna put the knobbies it had on it before back on

ok went and looked at my spare sets of tires...... one is a kenda(not sure of the model) 26x2.1.....2 smoke knockoffs, say innova on them.. bell?? 26x1.95... and a specialized dirt control 26x1.9......the dirt control had sidewall damage from the brakes rubbing on the side wall.... the other 3 tires are in decent shape.....at first I was thinking about using the 2 smoke knockoffs...did some reading and watching youtube videos and decided to use the kenda 2.1 on the front and 1 of the smoke knockoffs on the rear...1.95

had a collision with some a**hole going the wrong way in the bike lane today... tried to avoid him but he ran right into me....... after I crashed the muthaf****r kept going ... he kinda grazed me on the right side and knocked me down..... to make a long story short my rear derailleur is all twisted up... I was able to bend it back enough to have a gear to ride home on..... needless to say I am pissed.....so I need a new one.....fall is here so I decided to tear it down and repaint the frame.. good thing too... the headset bearings are kinda ugly but reusable.. was thinking of doing that anyways....... so I got it tore down this far today
