here is what I chose... gunmetal grey on the frame and matte black on the fork

looks like I need a headset too......the bottom race has some bernelling and the bearing itself is discolored and pitted.... looks like I get to upgrade some parts

cleaned up the fork some today..........if a new fork was in the budget I would replace it......but its not.... still works ok.... I also switched out the oil in the bottom to some fresh oil...

sorry about the crappy pics.......thinking about going with an origin8 headset and a shimano altus 7/8 speed rear derailleur .... here is my old one

now I am working on cleaning up the componets I am going to reuse....took the chainrings off to try to get most of the rust off......cleaned up the front derailleur too

its the same one that was on the bike when I got it......I took the cranks off and removed all the chainrings and used a wire wheel on them, then used some sos pads to get the rest... there is some rust pitting and some scratches on them but I think they look hella better.....some of the parts are cleaning up really good.... gonna look almost new when I get it back together after I paint the frame

gonna let the frame sit for a week and then wet sand and spray on the color..... the closest color to gunmetal grey I could find in rattle can is smoke grey..... also got the fork done up in red instead of black... had the red already and think it will go well with my red water bottle cage.... the boots on the shock kinda fell apart when I tried to clean them, so I cut them off
