got the fenders done today..... the rear is a set of the bell mudgaurds put together with a piece of license plate to extend the fender further back....ran part of a inner tube from the front of the fender to the seat stay.......wife said I could jack the mud guard from her bike since she doesnt ride in the rain....for the front half I used part of an antifreeze bottle, another piece of license plate, reflector with bracket and misc screws....not the prettiest but if it works who cares.... pretty much the whole theme with the bike

Those are some creative fenders! They look like they should work well.

when you are as poor as I am you find ways to make stuff work or how to make stuff with items you have handy

thank you purple haze!!! speaking of resourcefulness , the bell adjustable kickstand was too short and the bike would fall over easy......I added length with a piece of conduit...lol... now it works great

I have been looking at commuter builds and articles online and came across this idea... a low mounted light to light up the road in front of you where the handlebar mounted light wont light up because of height.... I bought the bell radian light set right after I bought my V2100.... these break if you overtighten them...so I have found other ways to mount them.... this one is a reflector mount from one of my garage sale bikes last summer.... the angle is adjustable so I used it for this project....the light is bolted through another hole in the light... its sturdy and seems to work good

That's a good idea. How well does it work? It seems with most bike lights you're going to be out riding them.

Local town was having a town wide yard sale today, I saw one of these Antelopes, men's frame medium, 4130 cro-moly, good, not great shape, owner would not come down below $75, that's too high for wholesale, I had to pass. I had just bought a Trek 6000 men's aluminum for $20 not 1/4 mile away at another yard sale.
