What kind of headset did you get? I'd advise against cutting that steerer tube. Pretty sure that threading is kind of deep in there. If you cut it enough to get a star nut in it you probably won't have enough left to fit the stem on.

Oh yeah, you said you got a Venzo headset. So the Gyro won't slide up and down over it?

Yeah. The gyro won't work with it. The welded in thread. Is only about an inch deep in the steerer tube. If I cut it off, I'll still have 3 inches of tube left above the headset.

I got a seat post clamp from danscomp.com pretty cheap the other week. It was a little over $3 I think. I went with a quick release on the BMX bike I fixed up to let my nephew ride. That way when we go to the track he can lower it all the way and if we're just out riding around town he can raise it to a comfortable level.

Awesome. It has a 25.7 seatpost. I ordered the same size clamp, not thinking, and it's too small. Been looking for one, but don't know what size to get.

The seat post is 25.4, right? You will need a 1 1/8" clamp.

had to get a used chainring. Couldn't find a spacer to fit the one I had for the axle. Close color, thankfully.

had a hard time setting these. Can't quite get the rear wheel to lock up, but the clear brake pads are awesome. Work great for this wheelset.

the venzo wasnt gyro compatible. So, just rear brake for now. But, the LBS had the correct bolt and cap for it, so, later on, newheadset so I can install the gyro I bought for this thing.

overall, people love the bike. I got to ride it a bit today. Honestly... I wanna keep it. Lol. It's also lighter than my son's sting pro, somehow. Odd.... anyway, it's a great bike, and can't wait to give it to my little cousin.

Bike looks good Falkon. Did you end up having the steerer tube cut? That looks like a lot of spacers so I guess you were right about having plenty of room.

Nope. Didn't cut it. They had the cap and bolt, so I just added the top spacer and ran it down. It's two 1 inch spacers. And with the stem, it was dead even with the steerer tube.
