This is the completed outcome.

I've installed everything else on the bike, but can't figure out why the crank keeps throwing the chain when on the big ring.

Basically, whenever I go from small ring to big ring, it throws the chain. I've already set the limit screw on the front derailleur to the point of it barely shifting. Still throws the chain. Even weirder, when the rear derailleur goes to its smallest ring, the crank throws the chain when on the big ring. After trying to sort all this out, the only thing I can figure is the chainring is possibly bent. I'm not sure.

Double check your chain.. Bent or pinched links, or slight twist, you know, the stuff that causes those problems. Then a straight edge on the chainrings to check the alignment with the rear. But it really sounds like a chain problem to me

Oh, and pardon me.. The bike looks great!
I'd love to know the weight now, compared to a new Denali Pro
There is a bike on the WM website that interests me, the Cyclocross labeled Takara Genkai 22.5 700c
But it has a chromoly frame lol.. I think I'll just keep my old Murray until I find one of these Denali Pro's (used) to mess with It Has to be lighter.
34lb shipping weight :P Vitesse wheels, It's a Kent bike

Honestly, that bike is better than my denali pro. The chromoly frame is possibly the same weight as the denali pro bare. Even my Wheelset is almost the same weight as the stock wheels (kinda expected for a $100 Wheelset).

The bike is unusually heavy to be an aluminum frame. The STI shifters are better as well... Supposedly. I was actually really happy with the microshift STI shifters. The disc brakes are a plus. If I was in the market, I'd look into one of those. But, there are some really good road bikes in the same price range from large scale bike shops. When I remember the name of the place, I'll add a link.

So, I see a frame swap for the denali pro. Also, I forgot that we have a brick and mortar performance bike in Virginia Beach. They had the bike I was looking at

These are the bikes they had in store.

Well, it's sold. Actually, traded for some AC work being done at the house. Didn't even get to ride it. :( but oh well. I'll make a better build later on.

Wish people would trade me bikes for work. All I ever get is people expecting I'll do a few hundred dollars of labor for a 30 pack of beer.

HI!

Bike never ended up leaving my side. Still haven't ridden it since finished. Planning on it soon, though.

Is the Denali still throwing the chain from the large chainring? I was thinking the BB might not be centered accurately...
